\"logo-small\"NGO AENAO \u2013 Center of Non Formal Education is one of the European partners \u00a0(along with Aland Islands, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Estonia and Norway) \u00a0of the project Me & You \u2013 North &\u00a0South (\"12038288_981667565186742_1953551600967910709_n\"http:\/\/www.projectmeandyou.com<\/a>), coordinated by the Latvian NGO IDEA. The project promotes\u00a0the discovery of personal values, attitudes and self-reflections on gender roles both in local and global perspective, through studying of women\u2019s and men\u2019s mutual relations, gender roles and stereotypes.<\/p>\n

The project took place in Zalenieki, Latvia from 20 to 29 September 2015, where youth workers were informed on gender equality using non formal education tools. The project emphasized on methods of \u201cGirl and Boy Group\u201d, \u201cMethods of Suppression\u201d and \u201cGender issues
\n\/ equality\u201d. The youth workers then visited local schools in Jelgava, Latvia where non- formal methods on gender equality were applied to high school students.<\/p>\n

Follow up was the next step of the project where all partner countries applied local workshops.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\"DSC01399\"<\/a>NGO AENAO u\"DSC01397\"<\/a>tilized a workshop on the LGBTIQ community in Thessaloniki and volunteers of “Positive Voice”, focusing on the gender issues in regards to the Greek reality. The participants were informed on gender equality, stereotypes and human rights using non formal education tools.\u00a0 At this point we would like to thank the Society of HIV+ people in Greece \u201cPositive Voice\u201d (http:\/\/positivevoice.gr<\/a>) for the support and hosting of the workshop.<\/p>\n
